Biography

Attorney Rory Driscole grew up in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and was a graduate of Freedom High School. Rory attended West Virginia University where he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Upon graduating, Rory attended Duquesne University School of Law. While attending Duquesne, he participated in the Criminal Law Clinic where he was a certified intern at the Allegheny County Office of Conflict Counsel.

After graduating from law school in 2012, Rory joined the Northampton County Public Defender’s Office as an Assistant Attorney. Within the Public Defender’s Office, he was appointed as the principal Juvenile Court attorney, as well as maintaining an adult criminal caseload. Rory has since transitioned out of Juvenile Court and is now the lead criminal defense attorney for the Northampton County Mental Health Court Program.

Outside of the Public Defender’s Office, Rory is a partner at Driscole Howell LLC, with co-founder and partner, Leo K. Howell III. Collectively, the partners practice in a variety of areas including criminal defense, DUI, and family law.

In September 2016, Rory was co-published in the 2016-2017 edition of “Inside the Minds- Defense Strategies for Drug Crimes.” He was selected as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyers- Rising Star for the years 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020. As a Rising Stars honoree, he is in exclusive company with only 2.5 percent of attorneys in Pennsylvania.

He is the Co-Coach for the Lehigh University Mock Trial Club and is the current Vice Chair of the board for the Children’s Home of Easton. Rory currently lives in Easton with his wife, Carrie, and sons, Connor and Jack.
