Biography

Al Wurth is Associate Professor of Political Science at Lehigh University. He joined the department in 1985. He earned a doctorate in political science at the University of North Carolina, a master’s degree in behavioral science from Southern Illinois University, and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Northwestern University.

Professor Wurth’s research has appeared in numerous outlets including The Social Science Journal, Society and Natural Resources, Political Studies, Social Science Information, Knowledge and Policy, Technology in Society, and the Bulletin of Science, Technology, and Society. He has also engaged in a variety of community service projects, including being a board member for Clean Water Action; Sierra Club (Lehigh Valley Group); and the Coalition for Alternative Transportation. He has also served on a number of Lehigh University committees.
